Song of the Day
Today’s Song of the Day is by Alt-J Tessellate. British alternative band, this song, from 2012’s An Awesome Wave, features Thom Yorke like vocals over a electronic piano, bass, and hip hop beat, starting with a bell like keyboard intro. To my ear, a sound similar to Autour de Lucie. Tessellation is a math term, meaning an image created when a shape is repeated over and over again covering a plane without any gaps or overlaps (think M.C. Escher). This is not the ‘official video’, but a tribute I liked better. Are triangles your favorite shape?
