Today’s Song of the Day is by Los Mads – Rock n’ Roll Woman. A cult band from Peru, this is a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s / Stephen Stills Rock n’ Roll Woman. Sung in English, they’ve slowed it way down from the original, psychedicized it, and stretched it way out. Kept the heavy reverb and added a fat rubbery bass guitar – quite a nice cover. Like many, the band almost, but not quite made it. Apparently discovered by the Rolling Stone’s Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, but broke up before they broke through. But they left this ace song behind.
