Portable Music Players
In honor of the passing of the beloved iPod Classic and its robust 160 gb hard drive, I thought I’d post pictures of all the portable music players I’ve bought over the years to ease the pain. My very first was a portable Craig 212 reel to reel tape recorder, that I used to tape singles off the AM radio played by Cousin Brucie. I think the tapes were something like 20 minutes long. Of course, there are the portable record players, which typically played 45s/singles, maybe 3 to 5 minutes long. We bought a Rio Diamond too (18 song capacity I believe) but we couldn’t find it at press time. Boy I’m going to miss the classic. P.S. All of the devices are pictured in a slide show, below.
