Today’s Song of the Day is Wipers – D7 (no the please). From their seminal first album, 1980’s Is This Real? Pacific Northwest legend Greg Sage and the boys put forth this seering, snarling dark vision of what music should sound like from a three piece. You would call it punk back when it was issued, and now would call it grunge. Covered years later by no less that Nirvana on their Hormoaning EP, and credited by Kurt Cobain as one of the influences that led him to grunge. Shouda been a contender.
